Associate DMS Engineer/DMS Systems Engineer . This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems sector in

Palmdale, CA, Redondo Beach, CA, El Segundo, CA, or Rancho Bernardo (San Diego), CA. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s

Product Support Organization . The selected candidate will perform system and component level Lifecycle Management Engineering activities across multiple projects, focusing on systems affected by obsolescence and/or Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) issues and lead/integrate mitigation activities to ensure a solution is in place before contractual requirements are impacted. Responsibilities include: Responsible for research and/or product development in more than one engineering discipline.

Perform operational analysis and mission effectiveness analysis.

Gather, collect, record, track, and verify data from multiple sources and maintain mitigation records.

Lead obsolescence mitigation activities including scheduling meetings, briefings, and discussion topics; preparation of agendas and meeting minutes.

Analyze and predict production and sustainment requirements to construct strategic obsolescence roadmaps for end-of-life subsystems and components.

Engage senior management to ensure coordination and integration of DMS resolution activities.

Work with suppliers to ensure obsolescence issues are resolved at the lowest cost while maintaining high quality and reliability.

Identify and pursue process improvements.

Organize, integrate, and lead group projects that aggregate obsolescence data into a system view.

Basic Qualifications for an Associate DMS Engineer (T01) Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.

Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Must be familiar with MS Excel (extensive formula calculations, pivot tables/charts, macros, etc.)

Basic Qualifications for a DMS Engineer (T02) Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree OR Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.

Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.

Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Advanced proficiency with MS Excel (extensive formula calculations, pivot tables/charts, macros, etc.)

Familiar with Proactive Obsolescence management.

Preferred Qualifications Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.

Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).

Previous project management experience.

Familiarity with Silicon Expert.

Oracle and Python experience.

Pay Range Associate DMS Engineer:

$67,400.00- $101,000.00

DMS Engineer:

$81,300.00 - $121,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
