Zantech is looking for an entry level HR Assistant **** to provide foundational HR support focusing on initial position classification analysis, staffing process execution, and administrative support. Responsible for conducting preliminary reviews, processing documentation, and executing established procedures under supervision of HR Specialists. This role is critical for maintaining workflow efficiency and ensuring accurate data collection for strategic HR decision-making.
Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:
Position Classification Processing:
Conduct initial quality reviews of position descriptions for completeness and formatting, perform preliminary classification analysis using client guidelines, and prepare draft evaluation statements for HR Specialist review
Classification Documentation Support:
Maintain position description files and documentation, assist with desk audit data collection and employee interviews, and support classification research and reference material compilation
Staffing and Recruiting Processing:
Review hiring/selection packages for completeness and compliance, process new hire paperwork and accession documentation, and coordinate routine staffing activities and communications
Personnel Records Management:
Maintain tracking systems for hiring actions and personnel records, prepare standard correspondence and notifications, and input and maintain data in HR systems
Administrative Support:
Create and update job aids, templates, and technical documents, provide customer service support to employees and managers, and assist with routine reporting and documentation requirements
Process Support and Coordination:
Support HR Specialists with complex classification and staffing processes, coordinate scheduling and logistics for HR activities, and ensure compliance with established procedures and timelines
Required Experience or Knowledge of the Following Technologies/Functions:
0-3 years related work experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Project, Access
Adobe Suite (Acrobat InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, PageMaker, Premier
SharePoint, ServiceNow, and task management systems
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
Attention to detail for data entry and document processing
Basic understanding of federal HR processes and procedures
Required Certifications/Education:
Associates Degree in HR or related field
Preferred: Human Resources or Project Management Certification
Required Security Clearance:
US citizenship and an active Secret or higher clearance, per contract requirements.
