Monday–Thursday, every other Friday | 5:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Designer with SolidWorks expertise for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role will support engineering and manufacturing teams by creating precise 3D models, 2D technical drawings, and production documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of design standards, manufacturing processes, and a passion for problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities: Create 3D models and 2D technical drawings for parts, assemblies, and product designs using SolidWorks. Collaborate with senior engineers and designers to modify CAD models based on project specifications. Prepare technical documentation, including assembly instructions, part lists, and exploded views. Ensure all drawings meet internal standards, client specifications, and applicable industry codes. Participate in design reviews and assist in troubleshooting design issues. Maintain organized CAD files for easy access, revision tracking, and version control. Work closely with cross-functional teams to refine designs and optimize products for manufacturing. Apply AWS A2.4 weld symbols and basic GD&T concepts to designs.

Required Qualifications: Associate degree or certification in CAD, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience. Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, clear technical drawings. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Basic understanding of weld symbols (AWS A2.4) and GD&T concepts. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) or higher. Experience in mechanical design or manufacturing environments. Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes, such as: Sheet metal forming Tube bending/rolling 3-axis machining Experience with rendering software (Photoview 360, Keyshot, Adobe Photoshop). Familiarity with SolidWorks Weldments & Sheet Metal modules.
