Apparatus Effects, Inc. . We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Compositor with a strong focus on realistic blood and gore effects to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of visual effects and a proven track record of creating highly detailed and convincing blood splashing, splatter effects, head wounds, throat cuts, open wounds, and other intense visual elements. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the VFX team to integrate realistic blood and gore into film sequences. Create and manipulate high-quality blood and gore elements using advanced compositing techniques. Ensure consistency in visual effects across shots and scenes. Work closely with directors and other department heads to deliver the required visual effects with a focus on realism. Provide mentorship to junior compositors on blood and gore techniques. Experience Requirements:
Extensive experience as a compositor, with a specialized focus on blood and gore effects. Strong portfolio with samples showing a high level of realism in blood effects, including splashes, splatter, head wounds, and open wounds. Proficiency in compositing software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Nuke, Fusion). Strong understanding of lighting, shading, and rendering techniques. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
