We are seeking a leader for the position of Manager Electronics Engineering 2 in Airborne Multi-Function Sensors division leading a team of hardware Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTLs). This functional management position reports to the section manager and is responsible for managing a team of IPT Leads and performing in a lead role on a program. Typical Responsibilities: Manage a group of 10-12 IPT Leads
General team supervision, performance management, career development, staffing, merit planning, engagement, employee rewards and recognition, and resolving personnel issues
Be responsible for understanding IPT project performance within their assigned business area, coordinating response to recover troubled projects, and mentoring IPT leads for improved performance and career growth.
Identify and flow down proper policy, process, procedures, tools, training, templates, and guidance to support IPT Leads.
Lead and direct cross-functional engineering teams during proposal, design, manufacturing, and delivery phases of products in development and production phases
Support proposal development and new program acquisition efforts
Develop and execute to project budgets and schedules, including Earned Value Management System (EVMS), critical path management, Estimates-at-Completion (EACs), and workload forecasts
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a technical area
Minimum 7 years of related engineering experience
Team leadership and teamwork skills demonstrated through at least two years of experience as an IPT Lead, Engineering Manager, or equivalent.
Working knowledge of EVMS, risk management, scheduling practices, and other financial and programmatic reporting.
Able to work well within a team environment and adapt quickly to change
Demonstrated technical and people leadership of diverse and inclusive teams
Time management skills and a proven ability to follow through with commitments
Strong written, oral communication, and organizational skills
US Citizenship.
Current Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications: MS or MBA in technical, business, or related field
Able to work in a fast-paced environment where multiple projects are being developed and deployed simultaneously
Experience in a multi-disciplined engineering environment
Demonstrated success leading high-performance teams as technical, integrated product team, and/or functional leader
Experience with business development activities
Active TS/SCI clearance.
This position is contingent upon holding a current Active DoD Secret Clearance and gaining Special Program Access (SAP). Salary Range:
$149,400 - $224,000 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
