Compensation Estimated weekly salary: $1840 - $1980 Registered Nurse Job Details Location: Amsterdam, NY 12010 (New York healthcare jobs) Assignment Type: Travel RN (Locum Tenens) Unit: Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) Start Date: September 2, 2025 End Date: November 29, 2025 Duration: 13-week nursing contract Shift: 12-hour days (07:00 AM - 07:30 PM) Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed Registered Nurse Qualifications Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience At least 1 year of travel nursing experience (preferably with contract renewals) Experience with Meditech charting preferred COVID-19 vaccination highly recommended (not required) Willingness to float to other units as needed Previous staff members of this facility are not eligible for this travel RN job Med/Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care on the Medical Surgical unit Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using Meditech charting Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge instructions Float to other hospital units as needed to support clinical staffing needs Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team and take your travel nursing career to the next level with this rewarding Med/Surg RN job in Amsterdam, NY!
