We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director, Commercial Training and Development, to join the commercial training team. This individual will be responsible for creating and delivering training for the U.S. Commercial teams (Sales Reps, Account Managers, Field Reimbursement Managers at Ascendis as well as external partners. This individual will have a primary focus on the YORVIPATH/hypopara disease states but also support the Growth team as needed.
This position will be based in Princeton, NJ with additional 30% travel to regional/national meetings.
Key Responsibilities: Create and deliver training content including learning modules, trainings and workshops for both new hire training as well as ad-hoc training Collaborate with commercial team leaders to identify skill gaps to determine training needs and develop a training curriculum to enhance product and disease state knowledge and selling skills Design training curriculums for field roles covering both disease/product as well as functional role training and leadership development content Creation and implementation of launch readiness training plans for future new indications/products/disease states Utilize concepts of measurement to rate effectiveness of trainings and make needed adjustments for future trainings Serve as strategic partner to meet the needs of the USBU by understanding timelines and key initiatives Partner with sales leadership, and the marketing team to define and prioritize national and regional meeting goals, develop sales meeting content, design and develop workshops, and agendas while managing timelines Manage and partner with training vendors to create content and be able to adhere to project timelines Conduct field rides as needed to assess the field needs and pull through of initiatives Ability to travel up to 30% as required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry 3+ years of experience in a commercial training role within pharmaceutical/biotech industry, preferably supporting ultra rare disease products Demonstrated deep experience designing and developing workshops without vendor support and have a familiarity of implementing adult learning principles Strong knowledge of rare disease preferred, market dynamics, including distribution, patient support, high-touch care coordination, and innovative reimbursement models Demonstrated experience creating content for NSM/POAs and designing agendas Exceptional communication and presentation skills Ability to work cross-functionally and experience working with Legal, Medical and Regulatory Review Process Previous field leader experience in pharma/biotech preferred
The anticipated salary range for this role is $175,000-$195,000
