Empower and Educate: Drive initiatives that uplift employee welfare, offering comprehensive safety training and awareness campaigns for individuals to own their health and safety.

Ensure Compliance: Navigate local and international safety regulations, proactively identifying risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.

Collaborate for Success: Partner with various departments to weave EHS priorities into daily operations, securing a unified effort towards safety excellence.

Assess and Improve: Conduct in-depth risk assessments, crafting action plans to tackle potential hazards and boost overall workplace safety.

Measure and Optimize: Establish robust metrics to monitor the effectiveness of EHS programs, perpetually seeking enhancement and innovation.

Engage and Represent: Serve as the company's representative, working alongside key internal and external stakeholders including regulators, insurers, and auditors.

Lead and Develop: Manage and nurture your team, administering company policies impacting employees and overseeing required administrative tasks.

Coach and Recruit: Guide direct reports in professional growth, partake in recruitment to attract and retain top talent.

Strategize and Resolve: Address performance gaps and employee concerns, collaborating with HR for resolutions.

Oversee Compliance: Manage waste management program requirements, ensuring adherence to federal and local standards.

Adapt and Perform: Embrace other duties as assigned, showcasing flexibility and commitment.

Knowledge and Skills Adaptable communication styles for varied audiences

Basic Requirements / Certificates Associate's degree (13+ years of related experience) OR

Bachelor's degree (11+ years of related experience) OR

Master's degree (9+ years of related experience)

Proven leadership experience

Proficiency with applicable codes & standards

Expertise in EHS/Sustainability regulations in pharmaceuticals

Experience with biosafety practices and risk assessments

Competence in P&IDs and relevant design documentation

Preferred Requirements / Certificates Experience in greenfield operations and advanced manufacturing

Expertise in Biopharmaceuticals, APIs, DP, or GMP

8+ years of people management/leadership experience

NIMS 400 (Incident Command)

Certifications: ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM, MESH

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS May work in Mechanical/Production spaces that may require hearing protection and enrollment in a hearing conservation program. Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time 60 minutes Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time 60 minutes Ability to conduct work that includes moving objects up to X pounds. No X Yes If yes, X 10 lbs. 33 lbs. Ability to bend, push or pull, reach to retrieve materials from 18" to 60" in height, and use twisting motions.
