Job Description
Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field a plus but not required. Currently hiring Engineering Students as interns for this role. Seeking the same now.
• Technical diploma in a related discipline is a plus if no degree.
Required Qualifications:
• Time Studies on processes and actions using video to identify improvements.
• Proficient in Excel to document and track info from time studies of processes.
• Engineering education in progress or recent graduate.
• Creation of workflows such as BOMs, routings, production versions, etc.
• Project-oriented with leadership potential.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to safety protocols.
• Self-motivated with a drive for continuous improvement.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Required Skills:
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D modeling software (Inventor, Creo, SolidWorks is a plus).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Skype).
• Familiarity with SAP and label printing software (LabelView, BarTender, Zebra Designer is a plus).
• Basic experience in time studies, Kaizen methodology, and line balancing.
Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct time studies using video analysis to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Install and maintain operational equipment such as safety guards, boards, racks, rails, and conveyors.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineers in MUDA (waste) reduction initiatives.
• Participate in material handling and production-related tasks.
• Provide on-site support for manufacturing engineering activities on the shop floor.
• Create and maintain workflows including BOMs, routings, production versions, and revision levels.
• Provide label shop support and assist with label printing software.
• Follow up on 3F (Form, Fit, Function) issues and resolutions.
• Participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities.
