Insight Global is looking for a payroll clerk to support the payroll team for one of our largest healthcare organizations in NC. They are currently working through a merger with another healthcare system and are needing to move their full-time employees to help with manual entries within their timekeeping system. This specialist will be working to help keep the lights on for the payroll department while their employees are assisting elsewhere. This specialist will help with processing/running payroll, resolving tickets, managing checks, data entry, manual payments, adjustments, paycheck reconciliation, researching pay issues, handle garnishments and premium pay, reconciliations, and resolve any payroll issues. This team is looking for a candidate who is detail oriented, hardworking, and enjoys helping resolve payroll issues. This position is fully remote but needing to be local to Wilmington or Winston-Salem in case of issues or for training purposes.


Required Skills & Experience


  • 3-5 years of payroll experience
  • Basic payroll knowledge- Taxes, Fica, federal, etc.
  • Great communication/customer service skills
  • Experience working with larger organizations


Nice to Have Skills & Experience


  • Infor Netsuite ERP experience
  • Premium pay experience
  • Garnishment experience- child support, alimony, property taxes, etc.


Compensation: $23/hr - $27/hr


Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
