Summary
The Plant Manager will ensure efficient production, enforce quality and safety standards, and lead continuous improvement initiatives, while driving operational excellence and team engagement.
Key Activities
- Lead and manage all plant operations including production, maintenance, quality control, inventory, and shipping.
- Ensure production targets are met in terms of quality, output, and cost.
- Implement and enforce safety, environmental, and health policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop, coach, and mentor plant personnel to build a high-performing team.
- Monitor and control operational budgets, reducing waste and improving plant efficiency.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments including Supply Chain, Sales, and Engineering to meet customer demands.
- Oversee raw material planning, inventory control, and vendor management.
- Drive continuous improvement using lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Maintain machinery and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime through preventive maintenance.
- Support new product launches, process optimization, and automation initiatives.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as ISO, FDA, or BRC Packaging.
- Knowledge of sustainable packaging trends and recycled plastic processes.
- Bilingual communication skills (optional based on region)
Educations & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- must have experience in plastics manufacturing, specifically, Extrusion and Thermoforming.
