Job Summary:
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the chemical manufacturing plant to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production. This role leads production teams, manages schedules, and ensures compliance with safety and environmental regulations while meeting quality and output targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all production activities to meet operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Monitor production metrics and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Lead, train, and develop production staff to maintain high performance and engagement.
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to resolve production issues.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports for internal and regulatory use.
- Support capital projects and new product introductions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in chemical or process manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of chemical processing equipment and safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in production planning tools and ERP systems.
