The QUIKRETE Companies is seeking an exceptional candidate for a Color Formulator role at our new corporate Engineering & Technical Center located in Johns Creek, Georgia.
The Color Formulator will work with the product development and quality assurance teams to ensure new and existing products meet exacting color standards. This is a full-time, on-site role.
The successful candidate will use a strong understanding of color theory, pigment dispersion, and formulation techniques to ensure consistent and high-quality color performance . Develop and match custom color formulations using spectrophotometers, color software, and visual evaluation.
Adjust and refine existing formulations to meet customer specifications and production requirements.
Select appropriate pigments, resins, and additives based on performance, cost, and compatibility.
Conduct lab-scale batch mixing and testing to evaluate color accuracy, stability, and application properties.
Maintain accurate records of formulations, test results, and raw material usage.
Collaborate with production, quality control, and sales teams to ensure smooth scale-up and customer satisfaction.
Troubleshoot color-related issues in manufacturing or customer applications.
Stay current with industry trends, new pigment technologies, and regulatory requirements.
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
