Description
Business Intelligence Analyst will utilize advanced analytical skills and expertise in data visualization, workforce analytics, and financial modeling to design and deliver strategic insights that drive decision-making for investments in the mortgage or financial services industry.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Data Management and Analysis Use data manipulation tools such as SQL and VBA to collect, clean, manage and/or interpret large and/or complex datasets for organizational analysis. Perform advanced and/or large-scale data modeling to identify trends, forecast resource needs, and assess operational risks. Develop and manage a centralized data repository to ensure data integrity and accessibility. Business Intelligence and Reporting
Design and implement interactive dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, and advanced Excel functionalities for data manipulation and automation (macros, Power Query). Translate organizational metrics involving companies in mortgage and/or financial services industries, such as productivity, performance, and engagement, into actionable insights through predictive modeling. Generate periodic and ad hoc reports to support business strategy and performance reviews. Compensation and Performance Analytics
Partner with leadership to develop data-driven compensation models incorporating industry benchmarks. Analyze pay equity and recommend adjustments to ensure compliance and competitiveness. Develop performance scorecards aligned with organizational goals, utilizing KPIs to enhance evaluation processes. Strategic Insights and Decision Support
Conduct in-depth analyses of trends to support strategic planning in areas such as resource allocation, turnover, and optimization. Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, ensuring data is translated into actionable strategies. Support decision-making processes with scenario planning and predictive analytics. Technology and Automation
Collaborate with IT and other teams to automate data collection and reporting processes for improved efficiency. Enhance data visualization processes to simplify complex data for stakeholders. Evaluate and recommend new business intelligence tools and technologies to improve analytics capabilities. Data Security and Compliance
Manage sensitive data with strict adherence to confidentiality and data protection policies. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations in data handling, storage, and reporting. Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field 3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or financial analysis involving large-scale data modeling, complex datasets and reporting, including at least 1 year of experience: (a) using SQL and VBA for data manipulation; (b) involving metrics and analytics specific to the mortgage or financial services industry; and Proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and automation (candidate must be able to pass a test administered by Criteria Corp and achieve a score of Advanced). Travel to Minnesota office will be required (appx. 10% of the time). Key Competencies:
