Job Title: Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead the operational excellence of our Microsoft cloud environment. In this role, you'll oversee core infrastructure, security, and compliance while driving automation and efficiency. Your work directly supports client onboarding, DevOps continuity, and compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Azure Infrastructure Management: Administer VNets, firewalls, VPNs, and monitoring systems daily. Security & Monitoring Optimization: Fine-tune Microsoft Defender XDR, Purview, and Sentinel to maximize threat protection and visibility. Identity & Collaboration Integrations: Implement and manage EntraID (Azure AD) and Microsoft365 integrations. Escalation Point: Own escalated infrastructure issues to prevent leadership involvement in firefighting. Compliance Leadership: Proactively maintain configurations for HITRUST, SOC, and HIPAA compliance. Infrastructure Strategy: Lead Infrastructure-as-Code (ARM, Terraform) automation for reliability, scale, and configuration management. Cross-Functional Support: Act as the go-to support for onboarding and provide DevOps backup during critical periods. Disaster Recovery & Cost Efficiency: Drive planning and monitoring for recovery, business continuity, and cost optimization. Qualifications
5+ years in Azure cloud infrastructure administration, including VNets, firewalls, and hybrid networking architectures. Proficiency with Microsoft security stack (Defender XDR, Purview, Sentinel) and identity tools (EntraID, M365). Experienced in maintaining HITRUST, SOC, and HIPAA environments-or equivalent regulated sector compliance. Skilled in IaC (ARM/BICEP templates, Terraform) and scripting tools (PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI). Strong communicator and collaborative problem-solver, comfortable in fast-paced, regulated settings. Azure-focused certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate or Security Engineer Associate preferred. Why Join Us?
Impact: Own the architecture of a mission-critical healthcare platform from day one. Autonomy: Full influence over stack selection, design, and build strategy. Growth: Move from hands-on builder to strategic leader as the platform scales. Innovation: Work at the intersection of cloud, automation, and healthcare technology.
