Under general supervision of the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources (HR) Assistant performs administrative support services as well as entry level technical work in support of the Human Resources and Staff Development teams.

The HR Assistant role blends the functions of administrative support and entry level systems administration. Duties include being the primary point of contact for walk ins, phone calls and emails to the departments; coordinating the New Employee Orientation (NEO) process; prepping invoicing for payment collection and receipts for credit card reconciliation; and maintaining employee files and training instructor records. In order to be successful in this position, the incumbent must:

Be on time and ready to work at the start of their shift and work their full shift on a consistent basis. Maintain a high level of confidentiality, tact, and high quality customer service. Be flexible and open to changing priorities that come up during any given day or week. Minimum Qualifications for the Job:

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience:

One year of clerical work that included customer service and data entry. Experience in Human Resources or Staff Development is preferred. License(s):

Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms. External Hires:

This position starts at $23.52 per hour. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based upon relevant experience.
