As a Field Service Representative, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional service to our citizens by providing uninterrupted, safe drinking water. Your responsibilities will include promptly addressing repairs, accurately measuring water usage, and collaborating with your colleagues to uphold our commitment to world-class customer service. Additionally, you'll be responsible for handling delinquent water bills, operating both manual and electronic meters efficiently, and engaging with the community. Essential Job Functions Completes customer orders by turning the water on and off for new and old accounts. Check meters for leaks, check electronics; must be able to communicate with customers about water issues and be able to determine whether the problem is with the customer's line or the city's side. Determine electronic reading transmitter problems and if the meters are dead or working properly; read meters manually and electronically; bending over, squatting, lifting up to 50 lbs. Performs accounting duties by turning water off for non-payment and overdue extensions. Entering meter reading data. Maintains meters by changing the meters; replacing the registers and electronics on the meters. Also changing out the meter box lids. Performs clerical duties by using the computer to type correspondences; enter orders and data pertaining to work load throughout the day. Maintains and installs meter boxes. Also replaces water valves that are under high pressure. All other duties as assigned by a supervisor/manager within your department/division. Regular and dependable attendance is required. Minimum Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or GED. Experience:

Less than 1 year of related experience. Licenses : Must be able to obtain a class D water operator's license within 6 months and a class C water operator's license within 24 months of employment. A valid drivers license is required.
