Job Summary: We are looking for a technically skilled Security Engineer with hands-on expertise in Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 Security solutions. You will be responsible for deploying, integrating and maintaining enterprise-grade data protection, compliance and risk mitigation solutions in alignment with Microsoft’s Zero Trust security model. The ideal candidate will have strong technical implementation experience and a passion for automating security operations, driving compliance and optimizing protection across the Microsoft security stack. Key Responsibilities: Microsoft Purview Engineering & Management Deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Purview tools: Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection, Insider Risk Management, eDiscovery and DSPM. Implement data classification, labeling, encryption and retention policies across Microsoft 365 workloads. Tune policies and detection thresholds to reduce false positives and improve alert relevance. Perform incident triage, impact assessment and remediation using behavioral analytics and automated workflows. Security Integration & Automation Integrate Microsoft Purview with Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Sentinel and other M365 security tools. Develop scripts or use SDKs to automate repetitive tasks, reporting and compliance enforcement. Monitor and fine-tune rule sets and compliance alerts for improved efficiency and response. Data Governance & Compliance Support Collaborate with IT, Risk, and Legal teams to implement security controls that align with PDPA, GDPR and ISO 27001. Support compliance reporting, audit requirements and technical documentation for assessments. Participate in data governance discussions and contribute to policy development. Training & Knowledge Sharing Assist in developing technical documentation, runbooks and knowledge bases for Microsoft Purview. Provide technical support to security operations and compliance teams. Support user onboarding, policy awareness and data protection best practices. General Security Engineering Collaborate on broader security initiatives, including threat detection, vulnerability management and incident response. Contribute to the development of secure architecture and risk mitigation strategies. Requirements: Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience in security engineering or compliance operations. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Center. Working knowledge of DLP, IRM, Compliance Manager and audit logs. Familiarity with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API or Purview SDK for automation. Strong understanding of Zero Trust architecture and secure collaboration practices. Good understanding of data security regulations such as PDPA, GDPR or ISO 27001. Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting and communication skills.
