PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Performs corrective and preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains process and building equipment (in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications). Must be able to effectively communicate and speak English.
Preferred candidates must be motivated, positive, energetic and flexible in working days or nights and will have a full working knowledge of process equipment like control systems, valves, mechanical related repairs on any main equipment, minor building related repairs, and troubleshooting techniques which must be gained through a combination of experience and on the job training.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing corrective and preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, schematics, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions as required. To utilize CMMS or maintenance software as indicated by the Maintenance Manager and to prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Fabricate and weld repair parts by using machine shop and fabrication techniques and equipment. To change oil, replace filters and perform preventative maintenance tasks as required. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Commit to OCS Blue & OSHA Safety Standard. Any other maintenance related task assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager. KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE: Able to read, write and comprehend English. Minimum 3 years in related positions within an industrial environment with knowledge of methods, principles and practices of operating, maintaining and repairing associated machinery as well as mechanical knowledge. Unique ability to work in and contribute to a high performance, team-based work culture. Basic math skills are a plus. Good knowledge and use of basic maintenance hand tools. Knowledge of mechanical maintenance, fabrication, welding, and repair techniques. Must be available to lead or assist with any mechanical problems through the plant. Ability to meet physical requirements of maintenance area. Must be willing to work overtime or on rotating workdays or shifts as required. Instrumentation and electrical maintenance knowledge are a plus.

Side-cutting pliers Utility knife Hacksaw Flat blade screwdriver (Various size) Phillips screwdriver (Various sizes) Adjustable wrench set Allen wrench set Combination wrench Pipe wrench (assorted sizes) Ratchets (assorted sizes) Socket wrench set Pliers (assorted types and sizes) 25-Feet tape measure Torpedo level Ball pein hammer Rubber mallet Pry bar (assorted sizes) Punch and chisel kit Metal files Level Cordless drill/drive and Drill bits set Grinder PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Frequently lift up to 55 lbs. and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot and stand for long periods of time. (Will be required to use ladders or stairs). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Requires close visual observation to detect non-conformance and machine malfunction. Must be able to use regular maintenance related tools and to work in heights.
Work Environment: Full time in an operational environment and some office environment. May need to work outside in inclement weather conditions and drive the company vehicle to perform duties.
Possible Work Hazards: May be exposed to operations hazards including dust, fumes, toxic and caustic chemicals, rotating machinery, high pressure, hot or cold work temperatures, slippery surfaces, water and electrical hazards.
