Welder
Shift: Monday through Friday; 1st shift; Hours TBD Pay Rate: $17 to $20/hr. depending on experience Experience: 2+ Years Job Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements Select appropriate welding equipment and materials based on project needs Set up welding equipment and adjust controls as necessary Perform various types of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding Join metal components using heat and chemical bonding processes Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments Inspect and test welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws Maintain equipment and perform minor repairs when needed Follow all safety procedures and wear protective equipment as required Clean and prepare work areas, tools, and materials Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used Skills Required: Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding, preferably in a manufacturing environment Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in welding operations Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and materials Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members Willingness to learn and adapt to new welding technologies and methods Basic math skills for measurements and calculations Flexibility to work overtime or different shifts as needed Benefits of working with PrideStaff: Medical, Rx, and Wellness Benefits Dental and Vision Plan Options Short-term Disability 401(k) Retirement Plan Holiday Pay Company Overview: Work with a Staffing Firm that works for you!
