Description Of Work In this position, you will serve as a Restorative Nurse Aide and be responsible for maintaining optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial care by providing on-going rehabilitative and therapeutic treatments adjunct to initial therapies. Your work will involve observing and recording signs and symptoms indicating the resident's response to their treatment program, including the resident's improvement, specific goals met, change in condition, or noncompliance with their program. You will also guide residents in the use of assistive devices, transport residents to therapy appointments, and assist residents at mealtimes. You can expect to utilize prevention measures to ensure quality of life and to maintain functional levels, as well as provide opportunities for residents to maximize functional independence. In this role, you will participate in on-the-job, in-service, and formal training in nursing care procedures to update and maintain non-professional nursing care expertise. While in this position, your routine nursing duties will be performed independently and in accordance with established regulations, rules, care plans, and specific instructions. Other work performed in this position will be reviewed by a supervisor through reports, inspections, and observations. Work Schedule And Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work every other weekend. Overtime as needed Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Required Experience, Training & Eligibility Qualifications Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents. This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry. Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
