Swing Shift Maintenance Technician
Join a leading wood products manufacturing facility located in South Pierce County, recognized as one of the largest softwood veneer manufacturers on the West Coast. Our facility produces 100% virgin wood fiber mulch, primarily used for hydro-seeding and erosion control. We are seeking a dedicated Swing Shift Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our production equipment. Responsibilities of this position include: Machine parts using metal lathe and milling machine. Perform plumbing, carpentry, repair, install, and lubricate all lubrication systems. Maintain, service, repair, and install fire systems as needed, and grind chipper knives. Conduct record-keeping and preventative maintenance of all machines. Repair, service, and install conveyor and power transmission systems. Work with vendors to order parts and maintain inventory. Repair, service, and maintain all rolling stock. Remove and install concrete as needed. Troubleshoot and repair all facets of production lines and associated equipment. Essential skills required include: At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience. Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and repair. Experience with PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics. Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. Ability to stand on feet all day and lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in an indoor/outdoor facility and being exposed to the elements. Additional skills and qualifications include: Experience in plumbing and carpentry. Prior experience working with lumber processing. Within a 30-45 minute commute distance. Why work here?
