is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Facilities Manager to oversee the operational efficiency and physical well-being of office buildings and manufacturing plants in Broward County. The ideal candidate must be a proactive problem-solver with a strong understanding of building systems, safety regulations, and budget management. This role is crucial in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and productive environment. Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, security, etc.). Oversee and coordinate all repair and maintenance activities, both in-house and through external contractors. Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address potential issues proactively. Ensure all building systems and equipment operate efficiently and in compliance with relevant codes and standards. Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors for services such as cleaning, landscaping, security, waste management, and specialized repairs. Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to safety protocols and company standards. Track and report on facility-related expenses, identifying areas for potential savings. Develop, implement, and enforce facility-specific safety policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, ADA, fire codes). Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments. Manage emergency preparedness plans, including fire drills, evacuation procedures, and disaster recovery. Supervise, train, and mentor a team of [e.g., maintenance technicians, custodians. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and conduct performance reviews. Act as the primary point of contact for all facility-related inquiries and issues from employees and management. Communicate effectively with internal departments, senior leadership, and external stakeholders. Prepare regular reports on facility performance, projects, and budget status. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). [5+] years of progressive experience in facilities management, with a proven track record of successful building operations. Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and preventative maintenance best practices. Ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs for extended periods.
