Quality Engineering Supervisor
As the Quality Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing support for quality initiatives in facility operations, supplier quality, and material technology. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process. Lead Quality Control Technicians by holding start of shift meetings and ensuring team members are present and checked in. Approve time and attendance daily, managing overtime and absenteeism. Train new employees and complete performance reviews in a timely manner. Address performance issues as needed. Implement daily procedures and review activities against internal control standards. Ensure conformance to specifications of fabrications, purchased materials, and assemblies in assigned areas. Interpret inspection policies and procedures and supervise personnel activities. Verify that quality is maintained throughout the assembly process. Ensure quality equipment is in place. Clearly communicate daily expectations to the team at the start of the shift. Conduct daily rounds in each functional area and remain within the area of responsibility. Communicate with Team Leads before leaving the work area. Conduct end-of-shift 5S walk and maintain a minimum 6S audit score in managed areas weekly. Ensure Pass Down reports are communicated for the next shift. Conduct initial training and assessment of quality controllers. Perform other duties as assigned and qualified. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing. 4+ years of leadership experience. Ability to apply risk management knowledge to diverse situations. Ability to analyze situations and make informed production decisions. Capability to plan and organize time and resources methodically. Influencing skills to impact decisions within and outside the organization. Focus on continuous process, product, and service improvement. Ability to create, implement, evaluate, and enhance internal control processes. Working knowledge of prints and GD&T. Proficiency in using precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometers. Advanced skill with statistical tools such as 5S-6S methods, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies. Advanced knowledge and leadership in Continuous Improvement processes, including Kaizen, VSM, SMED, PDCA, root cause analysis, and corrective action methods. Proficiency in Quality Engineering concepts like PPAP, Root cause analysis, and Poke Yoke. The work environment is a new, very clean manufacturing facility with primarily office-based tasks. Employees will benefit from working in a structured and well-maintained setting. ($90K-$100K/annually- NOT hourly) The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
