Welder/Fitter (2nd Shift)
Join a dynamic team specializing in the production of custom-engineered electrical gear for the energy, industrial, and critical infrastructure sectors. As a welder/fitter, you will be responsible for creating the metal framework for cabinets that house electrical switchgears and power distribution systems. Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications. Take precise measurements and perform light fit-ups of sheet metal. Conduct flux core welding (sometimes MIG) in the 2G position on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum sheet metal up to 3/8" thick (11 gauge to 14 gauge). Work independently to fit and weld your own workpieces. Essential Skills
5+ years of welding experience. Proficiency in thin sheet metal and aluminum welding. Expertise in flux core welding. Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tape effectively. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with MIG welding and extensive fitting. Familiarity with 11 gauge and 14 gauge sheet metal and 3G welding. Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and HVAC systems. Why Work Here?

The medium-sized shop is one of four facilities, known for being clean and organized. It is a non-climate-controlled environment with open bay doors and plenty of fans. The production shop is fast-paced, with 5 welders on the day shift at this site. Adjacent to the machine shop, which includes 5-7 machine operators, 5-6 fabricators, QC staff, material handlers, and managers. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, a work shirt, and safety glasses. The 2nd shift operates Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, with work hours typically ranging from 50-60 hours per week, though the aim is to reduce it to 45-50 hours. Job Type & Location

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
