Account Analyst (Senior Transportation Analyst)
The Account Analyst (Senior Transportation Analyst) plays a critical role in supporting performance improvement initiatives through data analysis, KPI reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. This position is responsible for extracting and analyzing operational and service data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement, and providing actionable insights to both internal teams and customers. The Analyst will also support customer-facing performance reviews and participate in project management activities that align with their findings to drive continuous improvement. Job Description/Responsibilities Data Analysis and Insight Generation Extract and analyze operational, service, and customer data from internal systems Identify trends, performance gaps, and root causes of noncompliance or inefficiency Translate complex data into actionable insights for internal stakeholders KPI Reporting and Customer Communication Prepare and deliver routine and ad hoc KPI reports for internal and customer-facing meetings Summarize performance trends and provide context behind fluctuations in metrics Participate in customer meetings to report out on performance and support improvement discussions Internal Communication and Cross-Functional Collaboration Share insights and findings with relevant teams (e.g., Operations, Procurement, Quality) Ensure alignment across functions on identified issues and recommended solutions Assist in driving follow-up actions and tracking resolution status Project Support and Process Improvement Support project management activities tied to data-driven findings Coordinate cross-functional tasks and track project milestones as needed Document progress and support the implementation of corrective and preventative actions Reporting Tool and Dashboard Management Contribute to the development and maintenance of dashboards and reporting templates Ensure data integrity, consistency, and usability in all reporting tools Work with IT and analytics teams to enhance data accessibility and reporting capabilities Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Logistics, or a related field Advanced coursework or certifications in data analysis, operations, or project management is a plus Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a data analysis, operations, account management, or logistics environment Experience working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external customers Exposure to customer reporting, KPI development, or continuous improvement initiatives preferred Project coordination or support experience is a plus Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data visualization Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ERP systems, or BI tools is desirable Strong data organization and reporting skills with attention to detail and accuracy Core Competencies: Analytical thinking and structured problem-solving Clear and effective verbal and written communication Customer service mindset with professional presentation abilities Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Initiative and accountability for assigned tasks and improvement activities
