Our Newest Opportunity: The Market Analyst plays a key role in delivering strategic and data-driven insights that shape our clients' and prospects' group benefit strategies. This role partners closely with Account Managers and Benefits Consultants as a strategic contributor, supporting both client and new business opportunities. While building proposals, conducting financial analysis, and working in spreadsheets are core functions, the Market Analyst's work is focused on helping clients make informed, forward-looking decisionsnot just executing tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Partner with Account Managers and Benefits Consultants to develop market analyses that inform client strategies and strengthen our value proposition with prospects. Support prospect opportunities by preparing benefit and financial illustrations, market exhibits, and proposal content that align with client goals and competitive positioning. Create detailed reports and presentations of marketing and financial data for proposal responses, quarterly and annual client meetings, and strategic planning sessions. Fully manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, from gathering requirements through final analysis and recommendation. Assist in carrier negotiations, leveraging data to secure competitive pricing and value-added solutions. Review client utilization reports, identify cost drivers and trends, and recommend design or product changes to improve performance and member experience. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with carrier partners to stay informed of market trends, new products, and competitive positioning. Maintain accurate, current, and organized market information in internal databases to support timely and informed decision-making. Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives as needed. Qualifications, Skills and Requirements: Ability to analyze data and recognize analytical patterns Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to effectively handle multiple and changing client priorities and deadlines Ability to effectively present data Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Education, Training and Experience: Bachelor's degree, required; Business, Finance, Math, Accounting or related field, preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills required. Experience in the healthcare industry working for a group insurance carrier, broker or consultant, preferred Knowledge of group insurance including medical, dental, CDHP, pharmacy, life and disability products, preferred Experience with database applications, a plus. The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $68,000 to $75,000 per year. Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company's performance.
