Quality Control Associate
A food production company in San Clemente is expected to have an opening for a Quality Control Associate in the near future. This individual will be responsible for in-plant process testing and compliance to company standards. Must be able to work in all temperature-controlled, cold environments (38 degrees). The hours are Mon-Fri 7:15am to 4:00pm, with some Saturdays. The starting pay is $20/hour. Responsibilities: Perform tests of the production operations and equipment to ensure our products conform to specifications Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions Monitor the quality of the product manufactured and inspect proves controls points Reject or retrain substandard products that fall outside of defined tolerances May use computer software and electronic equipment to enter data Establish, maintain and promote good communications with all departments Requirements: Quality control experience is preferred. High school degree, GED or equivalent. Experience working in a food manufacturing environment is preferred. Able to utilize standard processes, procedures, and equipment. Prior experience with HACCP is a plus Able to perform essential math functions, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
