Job Description & Requirements * Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit * Discipline: RN * Start Date: ASAP * Duration: 13 weeks * 36 hours per week * Shift: 12 hours, nights * Employment Type: Travel **Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)** **Shift: Night 3x12.0** **Contract Length: 13 Weeks** **Job Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week assignment. As an essential member of our healthcare team, you will supervise and enhance the delivery of quality nursing care while ensuring compliance with the nursing care plan. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment for both patients and staff, while coaching and mentoring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct thorough nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to establish an individualized care plan. - Collaborate with patients, their families, and an interdisciplinary team to identify educational goals related to each patient's diagnosis. - Provide timely and accurate patient information during Initial and Re-evaluation Team Conferences on a weekly basis. - Document all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record in compliance with established policies. - Participate actively in patient rehabilitation and direct care, employing the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating) with an emphasis on patient and family education. - Initiate discharge planning on day of admission and conduct patient teaching in preparation for discharge. - Ensure continuity of care by communicating relevant updates regarding patients' conditions to the appropriate healthcare providers, including attending physicians and charge nurses. - Supervise, train, and guide ancillary nursing personnel, employing problem-solving techniques, effective decision-making, and proper delegation of tasks. - Maintain personal and environmental safety standards and adhere to hospital protocols regarding safety measures. - Positively contribute to unit dynamics by providing calm direction and support to ancillary staff, patients, and their families, fostering productive teamwork. - Communicate regularly with management regarding supply needs, equipment maintenance, and clinical training requirements to enhance patient care. - Assume charge responsibilities as requested following appropriate orientation. - Pursue professional growth and development through continuing education and self-study. - Prioritize tasks and utilize staff effectively to meet patient care needs. - Perform additional duties as assigned. **Required Qualifications:** - BLS Certification required before first shift. - ACLS Certification required before first shift (CIRH ONLY). - A minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired. - Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. **Behavioral Characteristics:** - Committed to patient and employee safety - Team-oriented with a focus on collaboration - Resourceful in overcoming challenges --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
