Position Overview:
The CNC Programmer will program, set-up, and operate Mazak Mills or Lathes using Mazatrol programming. Experience with Fusion 360 and SolidWorks CAD/CAM software is highly beneficial. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of programming experience. The environment is a short production/job shop, requiring safe work practices while maintaining quality and deadlines.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Program, set-up, and operate Mazak Mills or Lathes
Change, set, and adjust tools as required
Utilize various software applications to program machines
Load and delete programs in the computer
Adjust feeds and speeds on machines
Supervise and oversee other CNC Programmers
Inspect parts using gauges and measuring tools to ensure dimensions are maintained
Report machine issues or parts not meeting specifications
Use machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments

Must-Have Qualifications: Proficiency in reading 2D prints and/or 3D models, including GD&T Strong math skills and experience with Mazatrol or CAM software Knowledge of G code, M code, tool selection, and tool geometry Understanding of CNC milling processes based on material Ability to design and manufacture fixtures Excellent management skills Knowledge of machine maintenance and material processing Experience with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and thread gauges Qualifications/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent Minimum of 5 years CNC programming experience Experience with CAM and Mazak machines Ability to read blueprints Strong math skills (arithmetic with various units) Knowledge of metal machinability and shop geometry/trigonometry Willingness to wear PPE and work in a deadline-driven environment Self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills Supervisory experience preferred Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking) Other Important Information: Work Environment:
Shop environment with tools and machinery Hours:
Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with overtime as needed Travel:
