Job Description Job Description: Respiratory Therapist (12H Night Shift)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team for a 12-hour night shift position. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will provide essential respiratory care to a diverse patient population.
Facility Details: - Total Beds: 100 - Specializing in Respiratory Therapy - Trauma Level: Level 2 - Teaching Facility: Not a teaching hospital
Responsibilities: - Deliver comprehensive respiratory care for patients of all age groups, including critical care patients in ICU and Emergency Departments. - Operate and manage advanced respiratory care equipment including Hamilton C3 and T1 Ventilators, V60 NIV, Airvo 2, F&P Heated HFNC, and Bubble CPAP. - Collaborate with Pulmonary Critical Care physicians and the Hospitalist service for ventilator management and care protocols. - Perform unit-specific procedures such as bronchial hygiene therapy, nebulizer treatments, and external transports for critical care patients. - Engage in RT driven protocols for bronchodilator therapy, hyperinflation, airway clearance, and non-invasive ventilation (NIV).
Qualifications: - Required Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). - Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in respiratory therapy, with significant experience in neonatal and pediatric care (NICU/PICU experience is preferred). - Must have current EPIC documentation system experience from within the past 2 years. - Reliable transportation is required; public transport is not accessible in this area.
Scheduling Information: - Shift Type: 12H Night Shift - Self-Scheduling: Available - Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend - Holiday Requirements: Work is required on specified holidays, as needed.
Additional Information: - Dress Code: Hospital scrubs preferred (any color), with closed-toe shoes. - No float required. - Comprehensive orientation of 3 days is provided to ensure readiness for the unit's protocols and patient care modalities.
