Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Contract Length: 56 Weeks Required Certifications: ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NBRC State Licenses: Vermont
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to work in a diverse healthcare setting accommodating pediatric to geriatric patients, with a focus on providing exceptional respiratory care. This role requires a commitment to excellence and a passion for patient-focused care. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, a minimum of two years of current relevant experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), and a willingness to serve in a critical access hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory therapy services to pediatric through geriatric patient populations, ensuring high-quality care and patient safety. - Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory needs, collaborating with healthcare teams to develop personalized treatment plans. - Administer respiratory treatments, including aerosol medication therapy, ventilator management, and blood gas analyses. - Educate patients and families on respiratory health and treatment options, fostering a supportive environment for patient engagement. - Maintain and operate respiratory care equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards. - Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the facility.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of current experience as an RRT or CRT. - Travel experience is highly preferred, along with experience working in critical access hospitals. - Must have a personal vehicle for transportation requirements during this assignment. - All requested time off (RTO) must be included in the application profile prior to submission. - Current work history, skills checklist, and a signed supervisory reference from the past two years should be included in the profile.
Additional Information:
- Must be available for every other weekend and holidays as required. - Non-billable orientation hours may apply. - Flat hourly rate for overtime.
