Job Description Job Title: Emergency Department Nurse
Job Type: Full-Time Contract Shift: 2 Days (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) & 4 Nights (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM) Contract Duration: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Job Summary: We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Emergency Department Nurses to provide quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional clinical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to enhancing patient outcomes. As part of our nursing team, you will apply your nursing knowledge to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, while also leading and supervising other nursing staff as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Emergency Department. - Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. - Delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and their families. - Communicate effectively with the health care team about pertinent patient/family information. - Participate in identifying solutions for variances from patient goals and ensure the implementation of solutions.
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
Certifications:
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - BLS (Basic Life Support) - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in Level 1 trauma centers will be prioritized, but Level 2 experience will also be considered.
Education:
- Required: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. - Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
Skills:
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans. - Ability to perform a variety of professional nursing services. - Excellent communication skills to engage with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
