About The Position Job Title: Emergency Department RN Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Services Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN Certifications: ACLS, PALS or ENPC, NIHSS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Good patient experience skills with patients and families Critical care thinking Stamina for a fast-paced environment Description: The position requires working in a fast-paced emergency department. Candidates should possess good critical thinking skills. Experience with varied patient populations, including birth to death, is essential. The patient-to-nurse ratios will range from 1:4 to 1:5. Critical care equipment will be utilized. The electronic health record system in use is Cerner. Candidates should be open to float to areas where they have competencies. The role will include a rotation for weekend hours. Energetic and knowledgeable applicants are preferred. Experience with strokes, STEMIs, and trauma cases is a plus.
