Shift: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM Location: Ground Floor, ED/Building Facility Type: 378-bed Hospital
Overview: Join our dynamic rehabilitation team at a well-equipped 378-bed hospital offering a range of services including orthopedic/elective joints, neurology, vascular, and general medical/surgical care. We aim to provide exceptional physical therapy to patients requiring acute care and those in our Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU).
Staffing Information: - Physical Therapists: 27 - Occupational Therapists: 19 - Speech Therapists: 5
Patient Care Goals: - Target patient ratio of 8 patients per day in Acute Care - Target patient ratio of 4 patients per day in the ARU/Rehab Unit
Equipment Used: - Durable medical equipment (DMEs) - Exercise equipment - EMR system: Meditech
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct therapy evaluations and implement treatment plans. - Screen patients to determine need for therapy services. - Provide recommendations for patient discharge and follow-up care.
Qualifications: - Must-Have: - Flexibility with changing schedules, including weekends. - Quick learner with a receptiveness to training. - Valid and up-to-date Texas therapy license.
- Preferred (Nice-to-Have): - Experience in Acute Care and ARU settings. - Familiarity with Meditech EMR system.
Personality Traits: - Positive attitude and an ability to adapt to changes. - Resilient and willing to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Dress Code: - Olive green scrub tops and black scrub pants.
Compliance: - Adhere to HIPAA regulations, TJC standards, and hospital safety policies. - Follow therapy care protocols per APTA/AOTA guidelines.
Additional Information: - Floating Areas: Adult Acute Care and/or Rehab Unit - Weekends: Required - On-Calls: None - Contract Duration: 91 weeks - Guaranteed Hours: 1/1
