Job Description Job Title: Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Location: Community Medical Center

Shift: Days (07:00 AM - 03:30 PM)

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric settings, with a focus on developmental and congenital conditions. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide vital therapy services to children, helping them achieve their developmental goals and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive evaluations of pediatric patients to assess their needs and develop individualized treatment plans. - Implement and adjust therapy interventions based on patient progress and response to treatment. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and other therapists to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. - Educate families on therapy techniques and strategies to support their child's development at home. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care using EHR systems (Cerner).

Required Qualifications: - Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) degree. - Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist. - Minimum of 1 year of pediatric experience; 2-3 years preferred. - Strong understanding of developmental and congenital pediatric diagnoses.

Preferred Skills: - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. - Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing patient needs.

Position Specifications: - Number of Openings: 1 - Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 32 - Weekend Hours: 0 - Call Requirements: 0 - Float Requirements: May float to Med/Surg/Acute as needed.

Additional Information: - Dress Code: Scrub color-Any, with guidelines specified (no open-toed shoes, no denim). - Patient Population: Primarily pediatric, with some adult cases as secondary. - Unit Information: Acute beds approximately 100, outpatient patient load of 8-10 per day with typical patient ratios.
