About the Role
WellTech Partners is partnered with a healthcare facility in Porterville, CA that is seeking an experienced and dedicated
Charge RN
to join their
Emergency Department
team. This is a full-time, on-site position where you'll lead a high-performing nursing team while ensuring quality, patient-centered care for diverse populations from newborns to geriatrics in a fast-paced emergency environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily nursing operations, including patient assignments, admissions, transfers, and discharges. Act as a clinical resource, mentor, and role model for nursing staff. Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care. Coordinate staffing needs, breaks, and lunches to maintain optimal care coverage. Respond promptly to all emergency codes and assist with patient triage and flow. Support quality improvement initiatives, policy updates, and compliance with regulatory standards. Maintain open and effective communication with patients, families, and hospital departments. Participate in professional development opportunities and leadership committees. Qualifications Education & Experience: Current California RN license (required). Minimum
2 years of clinical RN experience in acute care
(emergency department preferred). National certification (to be obtained within 90 days of accepting the position). Certifications:
American Heart Association
BLS, ACLS, and PALS
(required). MICN
certification with Central California EMS Agency (required). Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification or ability to obtain within 1 year. Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in patient triage, emergency response, and critical thinking under pressure. Ability to mentor and develop nursing staff while fostering a collaborative environment. Why Join?
