Registered Nurse (RN)
to join our team and support residents in achieving the highest possible quality of life. Position Summary:
The
RN
is responsible for assessing resident care needs and supervising staff in the delivery of quality nursing services, in accordance with federal and state regulations and facility standards. This position works under the direction of the Director of Nursing. Key Responsibilities: Supervise day-to-day nursing functions and care delivery Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards Participate in developing resident care plans and assessments Provide direct nursing care, administer medications and treatments as needed Monitor and document changes in residents' conditions Complete and review documentation, incident reports, and care plans Make rounds with physicians and ensure orders are implemented accurately Support the DON in staffing, evaluations, and performance management Lead by example in creating a positive, team-based work culture Participate in care conferences, audits, and regulatory surveys Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant nursing environment Respond to emergencies and support resident safety at all times Qualifications: Current, active California RN license (in good standing) Graduate of an accredited nursing program 1 year of experience in long-term care preferred Current BLS certification Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret healthcare documentation Knowledge of EMR systems and basic computer skills Physical & Work Environment Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally with assistance Frequent walking, standing, bending, pushing/pulling of carts Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress Exposure to blood-borne pathogens, chemical agents, and other clinical hazards Must meet facility health requirements (TB screening, physical exam) Why Gateway Post Acute?
