4x10-hour day shifts (10:30 AM - 9:00 PM) Hours per Week:
40 Estimated Weekly Salary:
$2070-$2220 Call:
Required - 1 weekday and 1 weekend per month Orientation:
3-4 days Charting System:
Cerner (Cerner experience preferred) Patient Population:
Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state) Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (2-3 years strongly preferred) Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications Travel nursing experience required Experience in a community hospital and Level II Trauma Center required Experience with Cerner charting system preferred Robotic XI, orthopedic, spine/neuro, general/gyn, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, urology, vascular, and trauma surgery experience preferred Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed) COVID-19 vaccine not required Must be able to take call as scheduled Local candidates within 50 miles not accepted Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care in the main operating room Circulate and/or scrub on a wide variety of surgical cases, including robotic, orthopedic, spine/neuro, general, gynecological, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, urology, vascular, and trauma surgeries Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Participate in call rotation as required (1 weekday and 1 weekend per month) Accurately document patient care using the Cerner electronic health record system Comply with hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols Mentor and support less experienced nursing staff as needed
