Cloud Operations Engineer
at its Headquarters in Hauppauge, Long Island. The
Cloud Operations Engineer , with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, will be instrumental in leading data center
to
Azure migration initiatives, managing hybrid infrastructure, and ensuring robust business continuity through Azure Site Recovery and other DR tools. The role also requires experience with network security and connectivity. Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $105,000 to $125,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, and location. All applicants must attach a recent resume. This is not a remote role. This is a hybrid role (4 days in office/1 day remote). Responsibilities : Work closely with consultants to lead and executedata center to
Azure migration
projects, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance. Manage cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure , including networking, storage, and compute resources. Administer and maintainlegacy data center systems through final migration:
VMware vCenter
PURE Storage, Veeam, and Zerto, including provisioning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting through migration completion. Manage Azure Site Recovery
for seamless failover and business continuity. Administer Microsoft Entra ID
for identity and access management across cloud and hybrid environments. Develop and test disaster recovery
plans and ensure compliance with business continuity requirements. Collaborate with vendors to evaluate products, manage support cases, and ensure SLAs are met. Monitor system performance and proactively address issues to ensure uptime and reliability. Monitor and manage resource utilization and cloud costs. Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and policies. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Qualifications : Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure or systems engineering roles. Strong hands-on experience with:
Microsoft Azure
(IaaS, networking, storage, Site Recovery) Microsoft Entra ID Cisco Viptela SDWAN Palo Alto Panorama
Experience preferred in the following:
VMware vCenter
and ESXi Pure Storage Veeam Backup & Replication Zerto
for disaster recovery
Proven experience indata center to cloud migrationanddisaster recovery planning. Excellentvendor managementand communication skills. Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, VCP, Veeam VMCE, Zerto Certified Professional) a plus. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and in a team.
