Network Engineer
to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. This role is ONSITE in Colorado Springs, CO.
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. This program is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.
The candidate will serve as the primary Network Engineer supporting the C2BMC program. They will be responsible for learning, planning, deploying, integrating, and testing upgrades to the C2BMC network at operational sites, and providing assistance as needed. Additionally, the candidate will travel to remote locations to install networks, troubleshoot issues, and deliver status updates to Program personnel.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO: Apply principles, theories, and concepts to develop innovative and comprehensive solutions for a wide range of complex problems Will be responsible for understanding the planning, deployment, integration, and testing of upgrades to the C2BMC network at operational sites, and helping when needed Will be responsible for traveling to remote locations to install networks, troubleshoot issues, and give status updates to Program personnel Perform additional tasks as required by the program
WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:

Current/active in-scope DoD issued SECRET security clearance 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline or a Master's degree and 3 years of experience, or a PhD and 1 years of experience, or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
A DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) is required to start Must understand network design, development, and testing methodologies Experience with network automation, including both the development and deployment of network and management systems Demonstrated experience with Ansible or similar automation tools Must be familiar with the OSI Model, TCP/IP, and routing protocols BGP and OSPF Must have skills in network traffic analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshooting Must possess firewall knowledge in Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto Must know UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network architectures Must be proficient with multi-vendor switching and routing (Juniper, Cisco), WAN optimizer, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs at alternative work locations, such as Schriever Space Force Base, Alaska, Guam, Europe, etc., to perform job duties like deployments
WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:
Having a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application is strongly preferred Experience working in a DoD environment Prior experience with C2BMC
PAY TRANSPARENCY:
The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $105,000 - $115,000
