Network Engineer Onsite (Colorado Springs, CO)
An organization is seeking a
Network Engineer
to support the
Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program . This is an
onsite role in Colorado Springs, CO
and involves travel to other work sites such as Schriever Space Force Base, Alaska, Guam, and Europe to perform deployments and other job duties. The
C2BMC program
integrates the Missile Defense System and is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders to plan ballistic missile defense operations. It provides a collective operational picture and allows dynamic management of networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. The program also plays a crucial role in system ground and flight tests, verifying and exercising current and future missile defense system capabilities. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
Plan, deploy, integrate, and test upgrades to the C2BMC network at operational sites.
Travel to remote locations to install networks, troubleshoot issues, and provide status updates to program personnel.
Work effectively in a collaborative and agile environment.
WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:
Current/active in-scope
DoD issued SECRET security clearance .
5 years of related experience with a
Bachelors Degree in STEM , OR 3 years with a Masters degree, OR 1 year with a PhD, OR 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher
(e.g., Security+ CE, CASP+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, CND, GICSP).
Knowledge of network design, development, and testing methodologies.
Understanding of the
OSI Model, TCP/IP , and routing protocols
BGP
and
OSPF .
Skills in network traffic analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
Firewall expertise with
Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto .
Familiarity with: UDP multicast
SONET
MSPP
VLANs
GRE Tunnels
TCP/IP network designs
Understanding of multi-vendor switching and routing ( Juniper, Cisco ), WAN optimizers,
TACLANEs , and optical transport equipment.
WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:
Current and active in-scope
DoD-issued Top Secret clearance .
