Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and job-related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of federal and state agency-specific guidelines relating to grants and contracts. Experience working with PIs and grant staff in a higher education setting. Knowledge of budget development for sponsored projects. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and electronic research administration systems (e.g. Kuali, Cayuse, Huron, Grants.gov, Research.gov). Ability to learn, interpret, and stay current on federal, state, and University processes and procedures, including IRB, grant, and contract terminology. Ability to organize and prioritize workload and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment. Interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, and flexibility, and evidence of consistently providing excellent customer service. Ability to work well independently and willingness to seek out assistance when needed. Preferred Qualifications
Graduate degree (Master's or Doctoral) from an accredited university. Earned Certified Research Administrator (CRA) credential. Experience writing and submitting grants, including grant applications involving multiple institutions. Knowledge of university policies and procedures, especially related to grants and contacts, and a working knowledge of university financial accounting systems. Responsible for supporting the research agendas of faculty by identifying potential external funding opportunities for research; identifying potential partnership/research opportunities within the college and across the university; assisting with grant proposal planning, budget development, writing, and submission; and writing grant proposals to support the College of Liberal Arts in advancing its strategic priorities.

Job Duties
Identify and share funding opportunities for faculty research programs. Help write and submit highly competitive proposals that address public and private funder interests in alignment with the College of Liberal Arts' strategic priorities. Identify potential partnerships/research opportunities within the College of Liberal Arts and across the University. Assist faculty with grant proposal, including program/budget planning and development; create proposal checklists; review/edit proposal documents. Create faculty-friendly resources for all aspects of grant proposal development. Collaborate on a daily basis with the research support team at the College of Liberal Arts and work with the College's leadership to advance our research and educational missions. Communicate with College of Liberal Arts faculty; faculty and staff from other colleges/centers; other research coordinators; Office of Research and Sponsored Programs. Facilitate meetings between faculty and potential funders. Participate in professional development opportunities offered by Texas State and/or other providers. Assist with research development events and training for faculty. Other duties as assigned.
