We are looking for an
IT Project Manager
on a
contract basis
to oversee the deployment of technology infrastructure as part of the construction of a new campus. This role requires a hands-on professional with a background in managing end-to-end technology infrastructure projects, specifically focusing on routers, end-user computing, wireless, and server installations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong project management background rather than specialized technical experience and will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role is
on-site in Dallas, TX.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the planning, installation, and roll-out of technology infrastructure in new campus buildings Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and timelines Monitor the progress of infrastructure deployments to ensure completion on time, within scope, and on budget Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure accurate installation and configuration Provide hands-on support during equipment installation and setup, ensuring high-quality infrastructure delivery Communicate project status, risks, and resolutions regularly to stakeholders Address project challenges proactively and implement solutions to meet objectives Manage changes in project scope and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging continuous improvement and innovation
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Masters degree preferred) Minimum 5 years of experience in IT project management focused on technology infrastructure deployments Proven success in managing end-to-end projects from initiation to close-out Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to manage diverse teams and stakeholders Hands-on experience with hardware installations and configuration In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
