The Surgical Scheduler is responsible for scheduling and coordinating all aspects of patient surgeries, creating and submitting surgical encounters in Soarian for billing, and verifying patient demographics and insurance information. They obtain authorization for surgeries and work directly with surgeons to ensure procedure and diagnosis codes are accurate for billing. The role involves close collaboration with supporting departments to ensure surgeries are scheduled and coded properly. The scheduler practices Baptist Health’s mission of service excellence by providing professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients and physicians. The estimated pay range for this position is $17.53 - $21.21 per hour, depending on experience. Qualifications

High School diploma, certificate, GED, training, or experience Minimum 3 years of healthcare experience required Surgery experience required Professional, detail-oriented team player with effective interpersonal communication and excellent customer service skills Highly organized with the ability to multi-task Effective communication with surgeons, patients, leadership, and support departments Proficiency in EMR, computer applications, and scheduling systems (Cerner, Soarian, etc.) Bilingual in Spanish required Minimum Required Experience
