Position Summary

Are you a thought leader looking to make a significant impact? We are seeking a strategic People Partner to report directly to the VP for WMUS Growth People. As the Senior Director, People Partner for Walmart US Marketing, you will serve as a strategic advisor, coach, and change agent to Marketing business leaders. You will translate business priorities into people strategies that drive organizational effectiveness, talent development, culture, and engagement during a time of transformation for the Marketing function. You’ll partner closely with the Chief Marketing Officer, Marketing senior leadership, and cross-functional People teams to create an inclusive, high-performance environment where associates thrive and deliver world-class results. What you'll do

Strategic Partnering:

Build trusted relationships with the CMO, Marketing leaders, and their teams. Understand business objectives and proactively develop people solutions that accelerate growth and impact. Change Leadership:

Guide teams through organizational change, transformation initiatives, restructures, and process improvements with empathy and expertise. Talent Development:

Lead workforce planning, succession, and talent strategies to ensure the right skills and leadership pipelines for a dynamic, evolving marketing function. Culture & Engagement:

Champion Walmart’s values and culture. Design and deploy initiatives that foster inclusion, associate engagement, and a growth mindset. Data-Driven Insights:

Analyze people metrics to provide actionable insights and influence business decisions. Monitor organizational health, turnover, engagement, and productivity. Risk & Compliance:

Ensure adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards. Collaboration:

Work cross-functionally with Centers of Expertise (COEs) in Talent, Learning, Compensation, and Diversity to deliver seamless People experiences. What You’ll Bring

Experience:

12+ years of progressive HR/People Partner experience, including at least 6 years supporting large, complex organizations; experience in marketing, retail, or digital environments preferred. Business Acumen:

Proven ability to understand business strategy and align people initiatives to drive results. Influence:

Strong relationship-building, coaching, and consulting skills with senior leaders. Change Agility:

Demonstrated success leading organizations through change and transformation. Analytical Thinking:

Ability to interpret data, diagnose trends, and develop actionable plans. Culture Champion:

Deep commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaged, and high-performance culture. Education:

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field; advanced degree or HR certification a plus. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are paid for by Walmart. Eligibility requirements apply, and benefits are subject to change. The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00. Additional compensation includes performance bonuses, stock options, and other incentives. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field and 6 years’ experience in HR or related area OR 8 years’ experience in HR or related area. 2 years’ supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications

Managing a multi-unit operation, Project Management, Masters in Business or Human Resources, HR certifications (PHR, SPHR), Project Management Professional (PMP). Primary Location
