The Head of Change Management Office (CMO) will play a key role in bringing together Coventry and Co-operative Bank change functions, taking a best of both approach to create a centre of excellence in change portfolio management that enables value delivery through well planned, governed and delivered change at scale and across many business capabilities.
The role will be responsible for defining and establishing a Change Management office with capacity and capability to enable a period of significant transformation, delivering value and change objectives in line with Group’s corporate strategy through management and optimisation of delivery management processes, control frameworks, first line assurance and executive and Board level governance and reporting to enable effective investment prioritisation and data-based decision making.
The Head of Change Management Office drives the evolution and adoption of the Group’s Change Delivery Framework, implements governance standards, supports investment prioritisation through data-driven insights to enable informed decision-making by the Group Executive Change Committee. Ensuring transparency across the portfolio, the role is instrumental in ensuring that change initiatives are aligned with Group strategy, deliver expected benefits, and are executed with appropriate levels of oversight and control.
Creating a high performing team across a central and distributed change management delivery team akin to Portfolio Management Office will be critical to the creation of a successful team. Fostering collaboration and ambition, creating a single vision, creation of clear roles with ability to hold change portfolios to account and ensuring we have the right tools to manage c£200m of change across multiple change portfolios.
This is a hybrid role, the successful candidate will be on-site 2 days a week and can be based at the Coventry or Manchester site, or split their time between both.

About you
You’ll be highly credible with +15 years’
experience of leading change management functions across large scale strategic and regulatory transformation programmes and portfolios , you build trust quickly and are skilled in influencing and challenging senior stakeholders and leading teams through transformation. You will be experienced across
multiple delivery methodologies , well-versed with control frameworks, risk and dependency management across portfolios. You have developed or evolved ways of working and embedded it in organisation. Passionate about data-based delivery management and reporting, you’ll relish the opportunity to grow our data capability to measure what matters. Experience of implementing or operating a first-class delivery management data capability utilizing JIRA, power BI, excel and other portfolio management tools is important. You will have experience of
partnering with executive leadership
to translate corporate strategy into change initiatives, setting up and leading programmes, driving programme forward through KPIs and success measurers, and successfully delivering the set objectives while navigating through the challenges that change leadership faces with appropriate controls to stay well governed. You will have an eye for details and are skilled at creating

articulating complex information into Executive and Board governance forums. You are confident to be able to deputise for the Change Director in presenting at Executive governance or Board level forums as required. As a seasoned

To be successful in this role, it’s essential that you’re able to demonstrate: You will have successful experience of leading an enterprise portfolio management office in a regulated environment, especially financial services with a total annual spend above £150m Previous experience of successfully leading change in a senior delivery role and having successfully set up or matured enterprise CMO or PMO in multiple delivery frameworks, including SaFE scaled agile or similar as well as waterfall Significant experience across multiple organisations of Exec level governance, reporting and stakeholder management and use advanced presentation skills to communicate key messages clearly. Strong situational awareness and leadership and have great influencing skills to overcome challenges in different types of mindsets, approaches, and experience levels. Experience of scaling and optimising delivery practices including demand pipeline management, delivery controls, delivery management tooling and first line assurance Demonstrable experience of setting overall goals and holding to outcomes, inspiring and leading a team of over 20 to integrate ways of ways of working into one best way.
