Bridge Project Engineer

Colliers Engineering & Design Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Bridge/Structural Engineer to assist on various public and private infrastructure projects in South Florida. We are looking to add a full-time Bridge Engineer in our Miami office to participate in the design of highway, rail, and pedestrian bridges, from scoping through construction phases. We offer aspiring engineers the opportunity to work on diverse and often complex structural projects for a wide range of clients. The work environment is highly collaborative with structured mentoring from experienced engineers. Join us to make a positive impact on communities and society as part of our Bridge Team! Responsibilities Work on projects involving bridges, culverts, and related structures within the Infrastructure Department. Potential opportunities in other service lines such as Canals, Rail, Highway, etc. Design responsibilities include bridges, culverts, miscellaneous structures, as well as preparing technical reports and estimates. Assist Project Managers with calculations, plan reviews, permitting, and development of specifications and construction documents. Field inspection duties may be required. Engage in design work and client interactions. Contribute to standards of practice development and updates.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering; Masters preferred. 4+ years of experience. PE license preferred; working towards PE acceptable. Prior FDOT experience preferred; other DOT experience acceptable. Proficiency in highway/bridge/culvert layout and structural analysis software. Basic knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D. Experience with FDOT/AASHTO standards is a plus. Ability to read, write, and understand English for effective communication.
