Senior Safety & Health Specialist
to oversee environmental mitigation and support occupational safety initiatives. The ideal candidate values teamwork, solutions, and working in a diverse environment. Job Responsibilities
Coordinate hazardous waste collection and profiling Perform contaminated materials testing and disposal Manage chemical inventories across sites Assist in spill response and prevention Participate in environmental programs Implement emergency preparedness programs Support emergency operations and incident management Develop safety training programs Conduct safety audits and meetings Investigate incidents and recommend improvements based on DOSH & OSHA regulations Promote diversity and social justice in line with City initiatives Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Toxicology, Industrial Hygiene, Biology, Engineering, or related field Three years of safety or health-related experience Desired Qualifications
Experience with hazardous waste and soils management Emergency preparedness training Knowledge of construction and maintenance practices Experience delivering training to diverse audiences Understanding of DOSH and OSHA regulations Certifications such as CSP or CIH Proficiency in Microsoft Office Additional Requirements
Current Washington State driver’s license Work Environment
Wear protective equipment and follow safety procedures Be on call 24/7 for emergencies Perform work in both office and field settings Application Process
