Director of Finance
to oversee the financial strategy and day-to-day operations of the entire hotel. This is a unique opportunity to work for a leading hotel and incredible leadership team. Key Responsibilities Financial Oversight & Approval
– Oversee and authorize all hotel-related sales, purchases, payroll, and expenses, ensuring alignment with budget targets and operational goals. Operational Financial Analysis
– Evaluate and interpret financial performance data to guide department leaders, advising on operational efficiencies, internal control measures, and strategies to optimize profitability. Reporting & Projections
– Prepare and present monthly operational reports, along with periodic forecasts and budgets, highlighting significant variances and their operational impact to hotel leadership, ownership, and the corporate office. Budgeting & Internal Controls
– Develop, maintain, and monitor robust internal control systems to safeguard hotel assets, ensuring compliance with GAAP, the Uniform System of Accounts, and corporate standards. Team Leadership & Development
– Lead the Finance Department, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management, to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and strong collaboration with other departments. Regulatory & Contract Compliance
– Maintain current licenses, permits, and insurance coverage; monitor contract terms and agreements, advising management on obligations, risks, and benefits. Cash & Asset Management
– Oversee cash flow reporting, capital expenditure processes, and internal audits related to purchasing, inventory, cash handling, equipment, and timekeeping. Capital Project Oversight
– Manage financial aspects of capital projects, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and critical paths, and conduct post-completion financial reviews. Audit & Policy Adherence
– Ensure compliance with corporate policies, government regulations, and internal record retention standards, and coordinate with internal and external auditors on required reviews and recommendations. Must-Have Qualifications Experience : 10+ years of expereince and a minimum 5+ years in a Director of Finance role within a hotel, restaurant, hospitality company or related industry (real estate or entertainment). Leadership : Proven ability to lead teams and manage financial operations under leadership Expertise : Strong knowledge of the hospitality industry and hotel accounting Skills : Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
